A little bit about me

Hi!

I’m Monika Koch- @MONNEESHKA

 a self-taught artist from Poland, living in London since 2003. My work is all about bold, naïve    portraits of women—created with simple brush lines, strong strokes,  and blocks of colour. I’ve  always been drawn to female beauty, and over time it’s become my main muse. I like to capture it in a raw, honest way—through direct forms, sometimes exaggerated or distorted, always instinctive.

I find inspiration in many things—photography, art, everyday objects, and the people around me. I love working with mixed media like ink, gouache, acrylics, and gold leaf to bring texture and warmth into my pieces.

My style is still evolving. I’m always exploring,   experimenting, and following what feels right in the moment.
